Roxar Watercut Meter High Cut and Low Cut
The Roxar Watercut Meter High Cut and Low Cut provides continuous and full bore water cut measurement confidence
The Roxar Watercut Meter High Cut and Low Cut is suitable for 0-50% watercut range and offers full bore and continuous watercut measurement in an oil and water mixed flow. The unique Microwave Resonance technology provides extremely stable and highly sensitive measurements. The technology is scalable from 1" to 36" full bore. Typical applications include 3-phase separators, oil transport pipelines, allocation metering, refineries and gas-oil separation station.
The Roxar Watercut meter is industry leading for stable, full bore measurements and maintenance free performance. The combination of the high performance Microwave Resonance technology and world class manufacturing has made this meter number one for highly demanding watercut measurements for over 30 years. Full bore continuous measurements are vastly superior to probe technology covering only a part of the pipe cross section and costly- inaccurate- sampling technologies.
Unlike other technologies, Emerson’s unique Microwave Resonance™ technology tracks an energy peak that occurs at a resonance frequency defined by the fluids permittivity, unaffected by the temperature of the electronics, ageing and calibration. The Microwave Resonance frequency with empty sensor is measured with high precision equipment at the factory and stored in each unit as a calibration constant. This means calibration free and less affected by environmental conditions.
When the meter is provided with a line density input, for example from an inline coriolis meter, it automatically adjusts for a change in oil density. This can be important for applications where different types of oil are transported through the pipe. The autozero functions uses known correlations between density and oil permittivity.
Example applications:
* Export metering offshore North Sea for Europe's largest offshore operator
* Accurately metering the watercut in the oil export line, which is prone to fluid density changes, and wax and scale build-up, North Sea Offshore operator
* Metering the oil from underground tanks before entering the refinery, Scandinavia
* Measurement of watercut in 3 phase separator oil leg, large offshore operator Brunei
Maximizing reservoir performance relies on having the right skills in the work force.
