About Radar Level for Tank Gauging
A comprehensive portfolio of radar level devices with unique features to meet your challenges in a wide range of applications.
Rosemount radar level gauges give you precise data for custody transfer, inventory management and loss control. They measure on all products, from crude oil and asphalt to liquefied gases, and are certified SIL 2 and SIL 3 capable for overfill prevention. The Rosemount 5900S is certified for custody transfer by OIML and many national institutes. A level gauge in combination with a Rosemount 2410 Tank Hub enables wireless communication and emulation of gauges from other manufacturers.
Overfill incidents can have severe consequences. The most important job for an automatic overfill prevention system is to provide reliable High-High level alarm functionality.
Rosemount radar level gauges are SIL 2 and SIL 3 capable. They comply with API 2350, TÜV/WHG and local requirements. The Rosemount 5900S level gauge features 2-in-1 technology, enabling level measurement and independent alarm handling using one tank opening.
The Rosemount 5900S with its patented 2-in-1 solution can simultaneously serve as an automatic tank gauge (ATG) and an independent overfill prevention sensor. Benefits include:
Add Rosemount tank gauging devices to your existing system by emulating the previous vendor’s field bus communication. Replace your tank management software with Rosemount TankMaster for seamless and trouble-free communication with all installed devices.
The Rosemount Tank Gauging System supports IEC 62591 (WirelessHart® protocol) for cost-efficient automation of your tank farm. There is no need for long distance field wiring, installation costs can be reduced up to 70 percent, and the wireless solution enables access to data from tanks previously out of reach. No hot-work is required and downtime is minimized. The time between project start-up and an up-and-running system is drastically reduced.
Floating tank roofs can create operational and safety issues. A sinking or tilting roof can result in mechanical damage and lead to vapor release, product contamination, and fire hazard.
This new technology from Emerson enables automatic monitoring of roof position with radar devices mounted on the tank. These devices can either be installed on top of the tank or on the floating roof using wireless communication.
Secure efficient tank farm operations, reduce risk and minimize measurement uncertainty with the scalable and open architecture Rosemount Tank Gauging System from Emerson.
