The 404B Infrared Phototach is a self-contained, reflective sensor. The phototach is relatively immune to ambient light sources, making it ideal for outdoor use in areas where reflected light and glare cause conventional phototachs to malfunction. It provides direct readings up to 20,000 RPM at distances up to 3 feet. Distance may vary with RPM. The phototach's small effective beam makes it a good choice for sensing relatively small objects, while its visible red light makes it extremely easy to align. For convenience, the 404B can be powered directly from a CSI 2130 Machinery Health Analyzer with the cable provided in this A0404B1 package. The optional 408 battery pack, which comes with the A404P package, may also be used with the 404B for extended usage. Supply Voltage: 5-15 VDC, Supply Current: Less than 25mA, Output type: One current sinking (NPN) open collector transistor, Output rating: 200mA maximum, Output Leakage: Less than one mA in the off state, Output Saturation: NPN output less than 200mV at 10mA and less than 1V at 200mA, Construction: Reinforced Valox housing, totally encapsulated, acrylic lenses, O-ring sealing, stainless steel screws. Meets NEMA standards 1, 2, 3, 3S, 4X, 12, and 13. Adjustments: "Light to dark" switch and 15-turn slotted brass screw gain (sensitivity) adjustment potentiometer with clutch at both ends of travel. Both controls located on rear panel of sensor and protected by a gasketed acrylic cover.
