Retrofit Project for Biodegradable Plastics Facility

Danimer Scientific upscaled a research and development laboratory process and a small pilot line to a production-scale manufacturing facility using a DeltaV distributed control batch system and DeltaV Live operator interface to control the facility.  Writer for Control Engineering magazine, Karen Griffin, shared the story in the November 2022 issue of how “a bioplastics company contracted a system integrator to retrofit a brownfield plant to make Nodax polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA)-based resins, adapting existing on-site batch controls.”
