Product Description

The Rosemount 1408A Level Transmitter provides robust continuous level measurement. The radar enables excellent surface tracking, accurate level measurement and open channel flow calculations. With a compact design and open air approvals, it is a perfect fit for applications in the water and wastewater industry as well as utilities in other industries. Ensure compliance with regulations, maximize your production capability and prevent overfills and dry runs.

G1" process connection is compatible with full suite of modular process connection adapters
M12 electrical connector allows for simple installation and start-up
4-20 mA output and IO-link deliver ease of integration to existing or new systems
Configurable switch output for indication of abnormal level conditions
Reliable level values up to the top of the tank with no dead zone - ideal for small tanks
The sensor provides support for flow calculations through integrated equations or strapping tables
Robust stainless steel housing with a drip-off seal design that is resistant to outdoor conditions such as condensation, build-up or spider webs
Remote control of process parameters thanks to the possibility to be paired with the Rosemount™ 3490 Controller
The 80 GHz and FMCW technology provide a more focused beam angle to avoid and optimize the handling of internal obstructions
Fast Sweep Technology provides continuous surface tracking for greater measurement reliability and accuracy, especially in fast filling applications
Maintenance free solution unaffected by process conditions such as density, viscosity, temperature, pressure and pH
